Me Marie-Hélène Bastien
Born in Amos, Me Bastien completed her legal studies at Laval University in Québec City, concentrating in civil law, banking law and corporate law. During her studies, she was a research assistant, which allowed her to deepen her knowledge of consumer law and the law dealing with loans to individuals. She also sat on several committees, including the Investment Fund Committee of Laval University’s Law Faculty.
Me Bastien, who has been a member of the Québec Bar since 2009, articled at Cliche Avocats. and has continued to practise her profession with the firm, where she focuses primarily on civil law, commercial and corporate law and in litigation.
In addition, Me Bastien is currently pursuing a Certificate in aministration at Laval University which allows her to become familiar with accounting and management notions, both of which are significant advantages in her daily practice and other professional endeavours.
Me Bastien has also been involved in her profession as members of the board of directors of the Quebec Young Bar Association of and as a member of the District Council (board)of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Bar. Me Bastien is currently member of the organizing committee of the Fair of wines, beers and liquors of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and of the board of directors of Legal Aid of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and of the Quebec Bar Committee on Suretyship Law.
